The third exhibition of children's painting and calligraphy competition
The 40th International
Museum Day is on May18th, 2016.The theme of this year is "museum and the
Cultural landscape."
A series of activities which
are related to the theme will be held by Gansu provincial museum during the
period of "5 · 18". Among those activities, "The third children's painting and
calligraphy competition" will be hosted on May 15th. This exhibition will show
to the visitors of more than 800 works, which are elected from 2000 works made
by "Mountain Elementary School", "Lanzhou Blind Deaf-mute school", other art
training institutions and individuals and so on. The slogan of this exhibition
is "the dream of long silk road, the affection for hometown". The exhibition
will be geared to the needs of society on display for a month, you are welcome
to visit, roaming in the children’s dreaming world and feeling their love for
the silk road.
On May 15, on the opening day, the Museum will prepare a one hundred-meter-paper so "the little painters" could paint on the long paper to describe the scenery of the silk in their heart. At the same time，the Museum will collaborate with “Western Charity Club", commemorating the "5 · 18 international museum day" in the form of sending love. All the works which are elected and regarded as Charity works will be put into the activity.
